If Men Had the Menopause, It'd Be Cured by Now — a co-authored fine-art portrait project by Stephen Rendall with Amy. Large-format prints reworked in handwritten testimony: an equitable, compassionate confrontation of the female midlife transition, far from clinical detachment.

A co-authored project with Amy. The series is presented here in the order it was made to be read: a question, a dismissal, the cognitive friction, the turn, the declaration, and the closing note.

If Men Had the Menopause, It’d Be Cured by Now

If Men Had the Menopause, It'd Be Cured by Now is an intimate, co-authored exploration of the physical, psychological, and social realities of female midlife transition. Moving deliberately away from the clinical detachment and voyeurism that often characterise medicalised views of the female body, this series creates an equitable, compassionate space to confront the raw realities of ageing.
